Join us on Sunday, October 7th from 4-6pm at Lake Champlain Yoga & Wellness for an afternoon of yoga, drumming, Reiki, and body-awareness. DRUMMING ALIVE, led by James and Teela, offers a unique experience that opens the body and energy pathways through a drum-yoga fusion that is at times lively and energizing, and at times deep and meditative.

Beginning with an exploration of body-wisdom techniques, participants will be guided through a process to recognize what messages their body is sending them. Then, through guided vinyasa flow yoga accompanied by live drumming, the body will open as it moves. A focus on the breath and the guidance of the drum will release stale energy and generate fresh vitality. Lastly, through a deep savasana relaxation combining the resonant power of the drum as well as healing Reiki, each participant will move deeper into a meditative state, called “theta-state”, in which your brainwaves sync to the beat of the drum. The overall experience, with the support of the drum and Reiki, brings forth the healing abilities already present within each of us.
