About Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is holistic primary care medicine that supports and directs the mind and body’s innate ability to heal. Currently, New York does not recognize Naturopathic medicine as primary care, though it is licensed in 18 states and Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Thus, in New York, she does not practice primary care medicine. Naturopathic medicine focuses on wellness and disease prevention. Its treatment approach applies diet therapy, exercise, lifestyle hygiene, nutrient therapy, botanicals, and homeopathy, all of which Cheryl does practice in New York.
Her specialties include chronic pain, women’s health, fertility, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders, and autoimmune disease. She has worked with medical doctors specialized in rheumatology, allergies, pediatrics and women’s health. She has also worked extensively with naturopathic physicians who focus on endocrinology, women’s health, adjuvant cancer care, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and functional medicine. Her training in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Longhua Hospital affiliated with the Shanghai University of TCM, and Jade Institute fertility training has especially reinforced her expertise in various aspects of women’s health.
