Tai Chi can help you enjoy all of the summer activities you love!
Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as “moving meditation”, combining slow movements with controlled breathing. Research based benefits of Tai Chi include safely improving balance, strength, and flexibility as well as reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. Recently hearing that one of our class participants used Tai Chi principles to improve his balance while hiking, we are reminded that regular Tai Chi practice has profound effects in our everyday lives.
If you are interested in improving your health and life, we are offering two classes this summer, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Introduction to Tai Chi Energetics. Classes fill quickly so reserve your spot today!
Introduction to Tai Chi Energetics is now full! In the unlikely even that someone drops out you can e-mail us at info@newhealthessexny.com to be put on a waiting list.

Introduction to Tai Chi Energetics
We believe that Tai Chi is about energy, power, and balance. Inherent to all Tai Chi movement is something known as “spiral or silk reeling energy” which is the expression of energy moving from the ground up through the body. This energetic transfer promotes efficiency in the musculoskeletal and nervous systems resulting in greater strength, flexibility, and balance; and incidentally also holds the secret to becoming emotionally independent of external life circumstances.
In this 6-week series we use simplified Tai Chi forms to explore, practice, and embody efficient movement principles resulting in improved physical health and emotional resiliency. This course is designed to benefit all levels of Tai Chi experience and learning.
“All Tai Chi forces are rooted in the feet, released through the legs, steered at the waist, and expressed in the fingers.”
