Michael Fergot, CYT
Sunday Yoga
While at the University of Madison pursuing an Asian Studies Major, Micheal was introduced to Yoga in 1982. Studying several forms of martial arts throughout his a career as a dancer, Yoga has been a consistent thread in the tapestry of his life. In 2002, desiring to go deeper, he took his first teacher training with Jackie Prete and Ellen Saltonstall, and was asked; “why aren’t YOU going to teach yoga?” Since then he has had the good fortune of Yoga becoming his full-time vocation. In 2013 he finished an Advanced Teacher Training with Tara Glazier and Zhenja La Rosa. Michael teaches community classes based on alignment principles to facilitate the ever deepening joy of being. He also works with individuals and small group to assist in their deeper studies. Happily this is Michael’s 4th summer with us Lake Champlain Yoga & Wellness.
Michael will be joining us for Summer Yoga beginning June 21-August 30, 2015

Xian Chiang – Waren, CYT
Thursday Yoga
Xian Chiang-Waren began exploring yoga during college as a means of coping with stress and becoming more grounded in her body. Ever since, she’s been a devoted student of the asanas and pranayama (breathing techniques), practicing and studying an eclectic range of yogic lineages. Xian’s aim is to create a safe, dynamic space for each student’s practice. By balancing a rigorous physical practice with deep breathing and relaxation, we begin to soften the tensions held in our our bodies, quiet the activity of our minds, and gently open our hearts — both on and off our yoga mats. A native New Yorker and graduate of Middlebury College, Xian has lived and worked in the Champlain Valley for eight years. She has been a staff writer for Seven Days and the Addison County Independent, and currently works in an art gallery while completing her 200-Hour yoga certification through Yoga Vermont in Burlington. When she’s not in the studio or at the gallery, you’ll find her climbing mountains, biking or soaking up the sun on the lake!
Xian will be joining us for Summer Yoga beginning July 16-August 27, 2015
